149 judgments and orders in Bengla on the first day of the month of language


At least 149 judgments and orders were passed in Bengla by the Appellate and High Court Divisions of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh on the first day of Language Month in honor of Language Martyrs.

Among these, Appellate Division Chamber Court Justice M Inayetur Rahim gave 145 orders in Bangla. Besides, he said, from now on, he will issue orders in the Chamber Court in Bangla. And a judgment of Justice Naima Haider in the High Court Division, Justice Md. A judgment of Nazrul Islam Islam Talukdar, Justice Md. Ashraful Kamal and Justice Abu Taher. A bench headed by Saifur Rahman passed an order in Bangla.

Attorney General AM Amin Uddin said that the matter is a commendable initiative, these judgments and orders will be useful to the litigants. Supreme Court lawyer Kumar Debul Dey said, today there were 145 cases in the Appellate Division Chamber Court. I had a case in between. Along with all the cases, the court has ordered in my case also in Bangla.

Justice Naima Haider and Justice Md. Khairul Alam High Court Bench in 'Md. Akkas Ali v. Bangladesh announced the verdict in Bangla. Justice Naima Haider said today is February 1 before giving judgment on the writ case related to vested property. Language month starts today. Respecting the souls of language martyrs, honoring the International Mother Language Day, today's first verdict is announced in Bangla. I announce this verdict in Bangla with respect to all Bengali speakers of the world.

The High Court started passing judgments and orders in Bangla from the 1990s. Late Justice ARM Amirul Islam Chowdhury started giving orders in Bangla. After that among former justices Kazi Ebadul Haque, Hamidul Haque, Abdul Qudduch, former Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque, retired justices of Appellate Division AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury gave several judgments in Bangla.

Currently Appellate Division Justices Obaidul Hasan, M Inayetur Rahim, Abu Zafar Siddiqui, Jahangir Hossain Salim have given judgment in several cases in Bangla.
