Date of Advocateship Enrolment Written Exam- 2023 of Bangladesh Bar Council published

Bangladesh Bar Council has notified the date of Advocateship Enrolment Written Exam- 2023 by an official notice on its website.  Accordingly, said written exam will be held on 23 December, 2023.

The notice also contains "It is hereby informed for the information of all concerned in continuation of the circular issued vide Memorandum No.-BBC/Enroll/2023/1761, dated: 20-08-2023 and Memorandum No.- BBC/Enroll/2023/2133, dated: 17-10-2023, that Bangladesh  The written examination of the candidates who passed the Enrollment MCQ examination held on 17-11-2023 of the Bar Council will be held on 23-12-2023, every Saturday from 09:30 am to 01430 pm for 4 hours, subject to availability of required number of examination centers.  Every candidate concerned for the written examination has to download the new admit card from online and print it in color.  Therefore, all the candidates appearing for the written test must be included in the online data base of the written test."

Date of Bar Council Enrolment MCQ and Written Exam- 2023 Published

Bangladesh Bar Council has published the date of MCQ and Written Exam for the enrolment as advocate. Accordingly, MCQ exam will be held on 17/11/23 and written exam will be held on 22/12/23.

The notice says "It is hereby informed for the information of all concerned in continuation of the circular issued vide Memorandum No-BBC/Enroll/2023/1761, dated: 20-08-2013 that the upcoming Enrollment MCQ Examination of Bangladesh Bar Council will be held on 17th  November, 2023, will be held every Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am for one hour.  Detailed notice regarding MCQ examination roll-number-wise examination center list, online admit card etc. will be published later on the official website of Bar Council (www.barcouncil.gov.bd) in due course.

For the information of all concerned, it is further informed that the written examination of the candidates who have cleared the upcoming MCQ examination will be held on Friday 22nd December, 2023, subject to availability of required number of examination centers.  The details of the written exam will be informed later in due course.  Note that as per Bar Council Rule 603 (3) Candidates who have passed the immediate previous MCQ examination i.e. Enrollment MCQ examination held on 17-06-2022 but failed/failed to appear in the subsequent written examination, can participate in the Enrollment written examination to be held on 22-12-2023  .  The detailed notification for such candidates to fill the online form and pay the written exam fee for participating in the written exam will be published soon."

Viva Notice and Schedule of High Court Permission Exam- 2023

Viva examination of the candidates who passed the High Court permission written examination held on 04-03-2023 of the Bangladesh Bar Council will be held from next 05-08-2023 according to the schedule enclosed hereinafter. The time, place and detailed schedule of the viva examination shall be published later.

All the candidates who have passed the results of the High Court Permission Written Examination published on 18-07-2023 are required to download their respective H & HI form from the website (http://bar.teletalk.com.bd) or (www.barcouncil.gov.bd).

After downloading, fill in the blank copy of the case list along with the sample copy of the certificate issued by your senior, sample copy of the membership certificate of the Bar Association etc. The following is the list of documents that each of the candidates have to attach with their respective forms:

1. Applicant copy received while filling online form.

2. Attested copy of registration card issued by Bar Council.

3. All educational certificates starting from SSC to Masters / LLM Bar at Law (as applicable) and Attested copy of documents like mark sheet/grade sheet etc.

4. List of cases signed by the candidate and his senior advocate as per rules 5. Bar Membership Name along with the date of joining the concerned Bar Association.

6. Juniorship certificate issued by own senior.

7. Copy of Green Book indicating Bar Council Payment Clearance till latest year.

8. Attested copy of Enrollment Certificate (Provisional Certificate if Original Certificate of Enrollment is not obtained) issued by Bar Council.

9. Attestation of Equivalency Certificate issued by Competent Authority, if any degree/certificate obtained from abroad copy

10. 3 (three) copies of attested photographs of the candidate (similar to the photograph uploaded while filling the online form).

Each of the above mentioned documents are compulsorily attached to the downloaded form and submitted to the Bar Council office. If there is any exception to this, the form of the concerned candidate will not be accepted. Last date for submission of hard copy file to Bar Council Office: 01-08-2013, 4:00 PM.

Admit cards for the Bangladesh Bar Council enrolement exam can be collected till June 17, the exam day.

 

According to the previous announcement of the Bangladesh Bar Council, the preliminary examination of lawyer enrollment for this year is scheduled to be held on the July 17. The online distribution of admit cards for the upcoming MCQ exam has already started. Candidates will be able to collect admit cards till 10 AM on June 17. Admit cards are available on both of the official website of the Bar Council (www.barcouncil.gov.bd) and http://bar.teletalk.com.bd. Examinees has to use their respective user IDs and passwords resent to their mobile numbers for logging in on these websites with a view to downloading admit cards. Schedule for Distribution of Admit Card to the Second Timer Examinees of the Bar Council Written Exam

 

The Bangladesh Bar Council has announced a timetable for the collection of admit cards for the written examination of applicants who failed in their first written exam held in 2017.

The notice was published on the official website of the Bangladesh Bar Council on Tuesday (December 6).

According to the notice, the candidates who have passed the MCQ examination held on July 8, 2017 will have to collect the admission forms as per the announced schedule to participate in the written examination for the second time.

Admit cards will be distributed according to the roll number from 10 am to 4 pm between December 10 and December 15.

Admit cards for the written test can be obtained from the booth set up at the small gate at the north end of the Unique Heights building of the Bar Council.

Candidates concerned should submit photocopy of Bar Council Registration Card or Photocopy of Admit Card for 2018 Enrollment MCQ Examination.

The notice further said that in case of chaos in the admit card distribution booth, it will not be possible to distribute the admission tickets.

Written Examination of Bangladesh Bar Council for lawyer admission is on December 19, 2020

Bangladesh Bar Council has announced the rescheduled date of written examination for the admission of lawyers. The test was supposed to be held on September 26 (Saturday). As per new notice the written exam will be held on December 19, 2020 (Saturday). The information was revealed in a notice signed on November 25 on the website of the Bangladesh Bar Council, the only body that regulates and certifies lawyers. 

According to the notification, the written examination will be held at different centers of Dhaka City on December 19, from 9 am to 1 Candidates can participate in the written examination with the admit card issued for the MCQ test held on February 26 this year. The detailed schedule and other instructions including the center name as per the roll number will be announced later on the Bar Council website (http://www.barcouncil.gov.bd). 

However , those who failed the written test once before December 19, 2017 will be able to participate in the written test for the second time on the fulfillment of required procedures; the Bar Council said in the notice.
